Happy Presidents Day! Today I’m sharing another pre-flu look from early last week when I was still good at things like standing upright and moving my limbs and stuff. It was an exciting time in my life.
As a dyed-in-the-wool midi skirt lover, I find the fit and flare silhouette of this trumpet skirt a refreshing switch-up from the typical a-line silhouette of most skirts this length. And, although the graphic navy and white grid print works well in a professional setting as styled today, I think the skirt would be dynamite paired with a tank or crop top (obsessed with this one, this one and this one—all at super good price points) for a more festive occasion. I should also note that as far as knit skirts go, this one has a thickness and structure that make it both incredibly flattering and amazingly comfortable. All around, I’d say this skirt is another huge win for TY-LR which might officially be my new favorite brand (remember the blouse in this post?! SO good).
My hopes for a quick recovery so that I could fly out for at least the second half of fashion week are pretty much gone since the flu still has me in its clutches. But, the good news is that I can still stalk all of my favorite shows on Vogue from the comfort of my ritz cracker crumb-laden bed. The collections this season look incredible, so if you’ve got a case of the why-the-hell-do-I-not-have-president’s-day-off blues, I encourage you to check ’em out for a little sartorial boost.
Oh, and one last thing! Presidents Day SALES y’all. I’m scouring this one, this one and this one. Happy shopping and Happy Monday everyone!
