If you haven’t finished up your holiday shopping, you best get your game face on and get cracking.  If you celebrate Christmas, this thing blows in t minus 8 days.  If you celebrate Hannukah, there are only seven days left before your loved ones vote you off the island.  Check out my favorites above (most on sale!) because after today, you’ll start staring down the barrel of some gnarly expedited shipping fees.  Friends don’t let friends spend their rent money on expedited shipping fees.  And we’re friends, right?

If you’re looking for more holiday style or shopping advice, click on the boxes below and check out the newest editions to my SHOP page here!

If you’re looking for a super special Christmas gift, Hanukkah gift, Kwanzaa gift, Omisoka gift, or perhaps a “congratulations another year has gone by and you still haven’t been fired” gift, check out Monica Vinader.  As featured above, this British-based designer is the master of understated, contemporary, easy-to-wear jewelry with pieces that are delicate, yet truly spectacular.  I chose pieces in sterling silver, but the collection also encompasses a wide array of gold and rose gold, some with diamonds, some with colorful gemstones, and (my personal favorite) some bracelets (like the two corded versions depicted today) with bright, colorful cords instead.  Also, many pieces can be engraved, as illustrated by the toggle bracelet above with the delicate ‘MCO’ engraved in script on the sterling silver band.  Check out more of my favorite Monica Vinader pieces below!

I hope everyone had a spectacular holiday!  Mine was wonderful, although I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that this was the 20th consecutive Christmas where I have specifically asked Santa for an easy-bake oven and been skunked by the old man on Christmas day.  Super bitter about that.

I’m headed to Kauai tomorrow for a little R&R so keep up with me on instagram and stay tuned for some warm weather posts next week.  I for one am ready to ditch the heavy coats for a bit…

Happy Monday!  Today I’m sharing another warm weather look from my last week on vacation.  I’ll be sharing one more tomorrow, and then it’ll be back to more winter-friendly looks.  The blazer featured today is super lightweight, so if your workplace requires blazers and you live in a climate like Kauai or in a place with brutal summers, this puppy is brilliant.  It offers the requisite coverage and formality, but feels like you aren’t wearing a thing.

Today’s look is inspired by emails that I’ve received from many of you requesting more looks that fall into the “Creative” category of the blog.  Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to shoot me a message; it’s always so helpful to hear from you and better understand your workplaces and associated sartorial challenges.

While I’ll be back next Friday with a “Casual Friday” post, I thought I’d offer up a little something for those readers who are lucky enough to work in super creative environments that allow for a bit more fashion-forwardness (Exhibit A: leather pantalones; Exhibit B: Beadazzled Bomber Jacket).  These loose-fitting leather pants and bomber jacket offer a contemporary alternative to their more traditional trouser and blazer counterparts, while the collared shirt and formal textiles throughout keep the look elevated enough to let people know you mean business.

For those of you who don’t work in fashion, advertising, or the like, hopefully you can derive something from today’s post as well.  With the enduring leather craze in fashion, designers have continued to use leather in creative ways, allowing for the material to be incorporated into even the most conservative workplace ensembles.  Whether it’s a loose fitting leather trouser like you see today, a leather pencil skirt (like this post), a leather panel sheath dress (like I featured in this post) or even a blazer with leather trim, you can make it happen at the office if you’re thoughtful about styling the leather elements in a way that aligns with your own professional environment.

In addition to leather, we’ve seen lots of bomber jackets in the last few years, many of which can make the grade at work and even offer a reprieve to the line up of blazers that you may have (definitely have) grown a little (super) tired of.  I don’t mean to throw undue shade on classic blazers, but if you’re looking for a fresh alternative, check out this jacket (my favorite), this jacket and this jacket―three examples of bomber-style jackets that you can sport at work without looking and/or feeling like you belong on the set of Rebel Without A Cause.  And on that note, Happy Friday!  Tomorrow is Saturday.  GO CRAZY.

For more detail, click directly on the individual items above or text links as follows:

Facial Cleansing Brush  |  Exfoliating Cleanser   |  Eye-Makeup Remover

Cleansing Oil  |  Daily Moisturizer  |  Daily Concentrate  |  Eye Cream

Night Moisturizer  |  Retinol Serum  |  Body Lotion

At the request of many of you (thanks for the emails!), today I’m sharing some of my skincare favorites.  For work and play, I travel quite a bit which makes my skin hate me so, so much.  Going quickly from warm weather to very cold weather (and their respective time zones) is no bueno when it comes to skin health, not to mention the fresh, clean, unadulterated air circulated in the cabin of [insert any and every airline you hate here] which is really just icing on my derm-obliterating cake.  So, in an attempt to avoid looking like a decrepit science fiction character, I use the above products and highly recommend them.  In addition to the lotions and cleansers (which are awesome), perhaps my favorite thing in the world is that crazy little clarisonic cleanser brush.  I’m telling you, this baby is worth its weight in gold.  And gold prices are seriously up there.
